Rantentörl

Wonderful hike, which scores with fantastic panorama!
The tour to Rantentörl is a popular hike that includes the opportunity to cool off in Lake Rantensee. We therefore recommend packing your swimming gear. The Ebenhandlhütte is also a great place to stop for refreshments (please note the opening hours!).

West, north:

South:
From Klagenfurt on the B 83 to Scheifling. Then on the B 96 to Murau and further into the Krakau.

The hike starts from the Klausnerberg sawmill on hiking trail 2 (forest road) and AV 792 through the Rantental valley to the Rantensee lake. Passing the Rantensee, the trail always goes straight until you arrive at the Rantentörl after about an hour.

The way back follows the same path.

The valley bus, which runs to Lake Rantensee during the summer holidays, shortens the long valley route. This makes the hike from Lake Rantensee to Rantentörl feasible for young and old alike and a real experience.
