Eine Reise durch Klang und Zeit

The Feldbach City Choir is celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2025 and is dedicating a special exhibition at the Kunsthaus Feldbach to this occasion. From September 17 to 21, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the exciting history of the choir in an impressive way.

The exhibition highlights the development of the choir from its origins as a men's club to today’s mixed choir. It showcases not only the major musical successes but also the significance of the association for the cultural and social life in Feldbach.

In the rooms of the Kunsthaus, historical documents, photos, and remembrance pieces will be presented, reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of choir work. Personal stories from members and musical companions will make the tour a journey through nearly two centuries of music and city history.

Particular attention is given to the people who have shaped the choir – from the early choir directors to the current artistic director. This makes it clear how the choir has continually reinvented itself while remaining true to its roots.

The exhibition thus offers not only a retrospective but also a glimpse into the future: It demonstrates how powerful the strength of music is in fostering community and how a traditional association will continue to set cultural accents in the future.
