Carnival concert of the Feldbach town choir

The City Choir of Feldbach is one of the oldest singing clubs in Styria and is celebrating its 175th anniversary this year. The highlight of the anniversary year is the grand anniversary concert on October 18, where the impressive diversity of the choir will be showcased.

The anniversary concert combines tradition and modernity – from classical repertoire to contemporary pieces. Under the direction of the new choir conductor Suyoung Ham, visitors can expect a varied program that musically reflects the long history of the club.

In addition to the concert, two exhibitions on choir history will be offered:

• Special exhibition at Feldbach's main square (June 11 – July 2)

• Exhibition at the Kunsthaus Feldbach (September 17–21)

Additionally, a joint concert with the partner choir from Trieste is planned, showcasing the international connections of the club.

Feldbach's mayor Josef Ober emphasizes the cultural significance: The city choir has been one of the most important cultural institutions in the city for generations and plays a decisive role in shaping social life.
