AltausseeThis museum is located on the second floor of the Altaussee Kur- und Amtshaus.
The Altaussee Literature Museum presents a new staging of prominent literary personalities who have worked and continue to work in Altaussee. Original artefacts such as the Herzl bicycle or Torberg's voice are on display.
The local history appears in a new design, and the cabinet of curiosities by Prof. Horst K. Jandl has been uniquely complemented by media.
A new highlight & MUST SEE in Altaussee! All display boards are also available in English!
After the museum visit, you can browse for the right literature in the bookshop on the ground floor.

The Literature Museum is closed on Shrove Monday, Shrove Tuesday, Kirtag Saturday and Kirtag Monday, as well as Sundays and public holidays.
