Trautentalwirt - Gasthaus Rainer
Geistthal-SödingbergNo frills, with a lot of feeling for good taste!
Kulinarium Steiermark
Directly at the entrance to the wonderfully idyllic village of Geistthal at the foot of the Gleinalpe is the Trautentalwirt – the Rainer Inn.
Lisa and Johann Rainer, along with brother Martin and parents Romana and Hansi, bring a lot of love, passion, and warmth to provide plenty of enjoyment, sociability, and happy moments at the Trautentalwirt.
Those who are now curious can come by from Friday to Monday to see for themselves. Not only the Trautentalwirt, but also the wonderful hilly landscape and beautiful hiking trails invite exploration of the former health resort – also known as “Little Heiligenblut.”
The family and the ingredients of the dishes are deeply rooted in the region around the village of Geistthal – regionality and sustainability shape the way forward.
Feel-good cuisine from forest, meadow, and water is on the menu here – traditional inn classics that truly evoke childhood memories, as well as seasonal vegetarian delicacies and fine fish dishes from the own pond can be found on the menu – no frills, with a great sense of good taste.
The treasure trove of over 200 organic wines from all over Austria and a fine selection of cakes, sweets, and more complete the culinary offerings.
For those who love surprises, there is the TRARA – the endless surprise menu available once a month.
