The Last Europeans exhibition at the Graz Museum

Graz

Discover "The Last Europeans" exhibition at the Graz Museum – Jewish perspectives on Europe's crises.

From May 22, 2025, to January 11, 2026, the Graz Museum presents the exhibition "The Last Europeans – Jewish Perspectives on the Crises of an Idea." This powerful exhibition explores the role of Jewish figures in shaping the European unification process and reflects on the current challenges facing the European project.

Through biographies and historical documents, the exhibition illustrates how Jewish thinkers and activists, in the aftermath of the 20th century’s destruction, transcended national and cultural boundaries, championed universal human rights, and advocated for a united Europe. It also addresses the contemporary threats to the European ideal posed by nationalism, antisemitism, and political polarization.

"The Last Europeans" is a joint project with the Jewish Museum Hohenems and the Jewish Museum Munich. As part of the cultural offerings in the Graz Region of Styria, this exhibition invites visitors to reflect on Europe’s past, present, and future.
