Exhibition ‘Places of longing’ in the centre of Altaussee

Altaussee

About the offer

Our gallery - sales exhibition - will be on view for three weeks in the Dangl House (formerly Volksbank), directly next to the Berndl Inn.

The places of longing presented, as diverse as the artists themselves, are spread all over Europe – including the Ausseerland. Particularly, the English artist Mark Goldsworthy showcases pastel works featuring motifs from this region. Gottfried Pengg from Auheim, on the other hand, presents oil paintings that capture the Salzkammergut in atmospheric scenes.

About the serviceprovider

Taith contemporary is an initiative that represents contemporary artists from many European countries. ‘Taith’ is Welsh and means ‘journey, plan, project’. It was launched in 1990 as a collaboration between Welsh painter David Ashley Kilvington and Viennese designer Andreas Hülber. Since then, numerous exhibitions have been held in Great Britain and Austria. For the past three years, Taith contemporary has been based at the Blaue Galerie in Vienna, and this year it is visiting Altaussee for the first time. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
