WenigzellThe Buchteln (a yeast pastry filled with jam) in the Buchtelbar in Wenigzell are known far beyond the region.
More than 50 years ago, the first Buchteln were baked in the oven of the newly opened "Gasthaus zur Sonne" in Wenigzell. In the beginning it was rather small Buchteln. Soon, however, the Buchteln got bigger and bigger and the “Gasthaus zur Sonne” was soon lovingly called “Buchtelbar” by the enthusiastic guests. The Buchtelbar is now run by Nicole Kalafus.
In addition to traditional home-style cooking with regional products, the inn also offers an extensive program for bus tour groups and motorcycle guests. The Wenigzell region and Joglland have adventurous excursion destinations for young and old in summer and winter. Convince yourself and visit the Buchtelbar!
