The Murau Organ Week will be opened with an organ concert at the Greß organ by Wolfgang Sauseng on the organ and Vera Blaha singing in the Town Parish Church of St. Matthew in Murau. Afterwards, there will be meetings and conversations in front of the church with bread and wine. (in case of bad weather in the parish courtyard) During the Murau Organ Week, from August 9, 2025, to August 15, 2025, various events are expected that will introduce you to the fascinating organ landscape of the city and the Murau region.
This year, the Murau Organ Week welcomes you again with a diverse program. The range extends from the Middle Ages to the present, from the portative to the modern organ. You can look forward to five concerts, an organ mass, group lessons at the organ, and an organ tour that offers exclusive insights into the fascinating organ landscape of the city and the district of Murau. This year, singing will complement and enrich the organ sound in three concerts.
