The Fischerhütte at Toplitzsee is picturesque located on the shore of the mysterious Toplitzsee in Gößl, a district of Grundlsee in Styria.
This inn is only accessible on foot – a walk of about 1.7 kilometers leads to the cabin, which is located right next to the boat landing .
As a certified Kulinarium Steiermark hut, the Fischerhütte stands for culinary quality and lived regionality. The menu focuses on freshly caught fish dishes from the clear waters of the Ausseerland. Char, trout, and other regional fish species are offered in various variations – steamed, fried, or refined with almonds.
In addition, typical Austrian home cooking as well as vegetarian dishes are available.
The ambiance of the Fischerhütte is rustic and authentic: A wood-paneled dining room with a tiled stove invites guests to linger comfortably.
In summer, the spacious terrace with lake view provides the perfect setting to enjoy regional delicacies right by the water.
A special highlight is the small museum within the cabin, which exhibits finds from the Toplitzsee that were discovered during diving expeditions.
