In summer, this is an ideal base for mountainbiking, hiking and climbing.There are lots of neatly signposted running + nordic walking tracks passing conveniently by the "Waldschlössl".

We also have an adventure playground in the forest + lounge chairs on the front lawn for you to relax. Close by is an indoor/outdoor horse riding arena and a few Inns serving delicious local food + beverage for your pleasure.

Winter in the beautiful Ramsau area provides 220km of well maintained cross country ski tracks for athletes + recreational users. A few of them pass right by our "Waldschlössl" for your convenience.

The next big ski areas ( Planai- Reiteralm..) can be reached in 15 minutes car ride.

Host information

Since 1989, together with my husband Hans Peter, I have opened the breakfast guesthouse for guests.

In the summer of 2013, my husband tragically died in an accident. This quote from him expresses what we as a family believe:

„As Christians, we are not always preserved and safe, but we have an eternal certainty.”

This certainty is the joy and the strength with which we will continue to run the Waldschlössl, and we look forward to your visit.

Conditions

The Rittisberg and the ski lifts in Ramsau are close by. The ski mountains Planai, Hochwurzen, Reiteralm, Hauser Kaibling and the Dachstein Glacier can be reached by car in less than 15 minutes. The cross-country trails are directly behind the house, from where you have connections to all skaiting and classic trails. Hiking trails on the Ramsau plateau, a riding arena and riding hall as well as restaurants can be reached without a car. Ramsau Beach, Rittisberg, Dachstein Alm area and the Dachstein climbing paradise are only a few kilometers away from the Waldschlössl.

Arrival by car

From north and west

German highway A8 towards Salzburg, in Austria the Tauern highway A10. At the exit Graz / Slovenia (Exit 63) on the federal road B99 (E651). From Radstadt the B320 (E651) to Schladming (23 km). From Schladming follow the signs to Ramsau.

From the east

A2 motorway to the Seebenstein junction, then the S6 to St. Michael. In St. Michael the Phyrnautobahn A9 towards Salzburg. At the Liezen exit, take the B320 towards Salzburg to Schladming. From Schladming follow the signs to Ramsau.

From the south

Tauernautobahn A10 - direction Salzburg. At the Graz / Altenmarkt exit (Exit 63) on the federal road B99 (E651). From Radstadt the B320 (E651), 23 km to Schladming. From Schladming follow the signs to Ramsau.

Arrival by train

All international trains stop in Schladming (EuroCity, InterCity). There are direct connections from Salzburg, Graz and Innsbruck. With the Deutsche Bahn you can take the ICE to Munich and then the EuroCity directly to Schladming. From Schladming you can take the RVB buses to Ramsau am Dachstein. Rental cars and taxis are also available at Schladming train station, which will take you to Ramsau am Dachstein.
